Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JACSU) and Hall Parliament elections have not been held for the last 33 years. Therefore, it is taking a long time to publish the results due to lack of experience in organizing elections, said the university’s proctor and member secretary of the Election Commission AKM Rashedul Alam. He said this while talking to reporters about the delay in publishing the results on Saturday (September 13) afternoon. The JACSU proctor said, “We have not seen JACSU elections in the university in the last 33 years, so our experience is also less. Students participated in this election. So that there is no mistake or doubt, each ballot is being carefully checked. Then the data is being analyzed and the results of the main result sheet are being prepared. In that case, it took a little more time. He also said, “The experience is less, it takes time to do it properly.” Nothing can be done in a hurry here. Every vote is very valuable.” The results that will come from here will be very beautiful, well-organized and reasonable. Meanwhile, JACSU Chief Election Commissioner Professor Md. Moniruzzaman said that although the counting of votes will end at noon, the results will be announced at 7 pm. In the meantime, the counting of votes has been completed in 18 out of 21 halls of the central parliament. The counting of votes in 3 more halls is underway. The voting for the JACSU and Hall parliament elections was held last Thursday. There were a total of 11,743 voters in this election. It is known that about 67 to 68 percent of them voted. Although the counting of votes started at around 10:15 pm that day, it suddenly stopped last Friday afternoon. Later, the counting of votes started again in the manual method.
