The Israeli army has been carrying out a brutal genocide in Palestine for two years. So far, more than 64,000 people have lost their lives in the brutality. Despite calls from around the world, the occupying forces have not stopped. This time, 1,800 artists from around the world have taken a firm stand to stop the brutality against Palestine. Nearly 1,800 artists from around the world, including Hollywood, have announced that they will no longer participate in any cultural or film-related work with Israel.
\nIn a joint statement, the artists said that they will not act in films by Israeli production companies. Not only that, they will also not participate in any film festivals organized in the country.
\nAs a result, they will not have films or appearances at important events such as the Jerusalem Film Festival, Haifa International Film Festival, Dokaviv, Tel Aviv International Documentary Film Festival and TLV Festival.
\n\u201cAt a critical moment, when many governments around the world are supporting genocide, we must do everything we can to stop this horror,\u201d the statement from Film Workers for Palestine said. \u201cNone \u2013 Israeli film production companies, distributors or sales agents \u2013 have ever stood up for the just rights of Palestinians.\u201d The list of stars calling for a boycott includes Emma Stone, Olivia Colman, Ayo Edbury, Lily Gladstone, Mark Ruffalo, Hannah Einbinder, Peter Sarsgaard, Aimee Lou Wood, Papa Acedo, Gael Garc\u00eda Bernal, Riz Ahmed, Melissa Barrera, Cynthia Nixon, Tilda Swinton, Javier Bardem, Joe Alwyn, Josh O\u2019Connor, among others.
