Russian President Vladimir Putin said his country has identified three problems in its bilateral relations with China. He made the remarks during a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Beijing on Tuesday (September 2). The two leaders met before attending a historic military parade organized by China to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Putin said, \u201cWe have no major problems in our relations with China. In fact, the number of problems with China is the lowest compared to any other country. However, today we have identified three problems, which I will tell you later. We are ready to move forward with China on these issues.\u201d The Russian president also expressed satisfaction with relations with Belarus. He said that annual trade between the two countries has now exceeded $50 billion. On the other hand, Lukashenko welcomed Putin\u2019s meeting with US President Donald Trump in Anchorage, Alaska, last month. \u201cI congratulate you on a great meeting with Trump. We both welcome it. There is no question of victory or defeat here – you have done a great job together.\u201d Regarding Ukraine, the Belarusian president added, \u201cUkraine has nothing to respond to now. Only Western countries are sitting and criticizing. I believe that one day they will come to their senses and join the initiative you have taken with the US President.\u201d Meanwhile, Putin also met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the same day.
