Students in Fulbari, Kurigram, rode a horse-drawn carriage and bid a royal farewell to a teacher who had been teaching for 32 years. A royal farewell was given to Jahangir Alam, the assistant headmaster of Naodanga School and College in the upazila, on Tuesday (September 2). It is learned that the departing teacher was taken out in a colorful procession on Tuesday morning with teachers, students and invited guests of the institution. The colorful procession covered a distance of one kilometer and circled the main road of Balarhat Bazar. After the procession, a discussion meeting was held in the school premises under the chairmanship of President Rezaul Islam Reza. Present at the time were: Secondary Officer Muha. Mahtab Hossain, Naodanga Union BNP President Mujibur Rahman Moji, General Secretary Musabber Ali Musa, Jamaat President Shamsul Huda Babul, Megh Bari Hauzi Chairman Emdadul Milon, Naodanga School and College Retired Principal Abdul Hai, Balarhat Adarsh \u200b\u200bSchool and College Retired Principal Tofazzal Hossain, Rabaitadi School and College Retired Principal Hossain Ali Bepari, Retired Headmaster Enchar Ali and others. The outgoing Assistant Headmaster Jahangir Alam said, I have been in this school since August 1, 1993. Last September 1 was my last working day. I have to leave my beloved place. Such a farewell overwhelmed me. Today’s day has been possible because of everyone’s love and respect. Everyone should pray that I can spend my free time beautifully with my family. The teachers of Naodanga School and College said that this is the first such royal farewell in our institution. In other words, it will be the history of the school. It is also a proud day for the education sector of the region. Today’s event proves how a true teacher can make a place in the hearts of people. Abdul Hanif Sarkar, Principal of Naodanga School and College, said, “He has spent 32 long years in this institution with honesty and dedication since August 1, 1993. He has been with me for 21 years.
