Today is the 10th day of testimony against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, including three others, in the case of crimes against humanity committed during the July-August Movement. Several doctors are likely to testify. The testimony will be taken at the International Crimes Tribunal 1. Former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, who was an accused and turned royal witness, was produced today. A total of 29 people, including families of martyrs, injured, doctors and eyewitnesses, have testified in the case so far. All the witnesses highlighted the atrocities of the July uprising. They demanded justice for all those involved in the massacre. They also pointed out Sheikh Hasina, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun as the masterminds of all the incidents. Earlier, the tribunal had on July 10 ordered the initiation of the trial by framing formal charges against Sheikh Hasina, Kamal and Mamun. In this case, the state party brought five charges of crimes against humanity against them. The formal charge sheet has a total of 8,747 pages. Of this, 2,018 pages are references, 4,05 pages are seized lists and documentary evidence, and 2,724 pages are lists of martyrs. There are 81 witnesses.
