Egypt and Jordan will train 5,000 Palestinian police for deployment in war-torn Gaza. The Anadolu Agency reported this news, citing Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdellatti. According to the report, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdellatti said that Palestinian police members will be trained in Egypt and Jordan to fill the security gap in Gaza. A list of them has already been prepared. In an interview with local media DMC TV, Abdellatti said that about 5,000 Palestinian police officers will be trained in Egypt to participate in the security system in Gaza after the Israeli military operation ends. He also said that Egypt and Jordan are cooperating to prepare Palestinian security personnel to avoid a security gap in the Gaza Strip. Abdellatti also said that an agreement has been reached with 15 prominent figures in Gaza to govern the territory for six months. However, he also commented that the Palestinian Authority is the only legitimate body to govern Gaza. Israel has decided to occupy the entire Gaza Strip. Israeli forces have already started working towards that goal.
