Four people were killed in a head-on collision between a gas-laden truck and CNG in Narayanganj. The accident occurred at around 3 pm on Tuesday (August 12) in the Karaitala Taltala area of Bishanandi Union. The deceased were Liton Das (32), CNG driver Abul Bashar (34) and two others, a woman and a man. Their names and identities are not yet known. Three more were seriously injured in the incident. Police and witnesses said that on Tuesday afternoon, a passenger CNG was heading towards Bishanandi Ferry from Madanpur. On the way, it collided head-on with a gas-laden truck coming from the opposite direction when it reached Karaitala Taltala intersection. This resulted in the casualties. Meanwhile, traffic on the road has been closed for 3 hours since the accident. As a result, severe traffic jams have been created on both sides of the road.
