On Monday (August 11), the opposition parties of the country are organizing a program to surround the National Election Commission office in Delhi over allegations of Special Intensified Rectification (SIR) in the voter list in India. During the program, Delhi Police detained several leaders, including the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi. On the way, they marched in front of the Paribahan Bhavan. Delhi Police said that permission was not taken in advance for this march. Police stopped them by putting up barricades near the Paribahan Bhavan. Opposition MPs stood there and kept raising slogans. At that time, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and some others were detained. Meanwhile, regarding the detention, Delhi Police said that they were detained due to the large number of opposition MPs at the spot.
