One person was killed in a bus-truck collision in Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway. At least 7 people were injured in the accident. The accident occurred around 9 pm on Sunday in the Nimtala area of the expressway. Rescue workers could not immediately reveal the names of the deceased. The injured were taken to the Srinagar Upazila Health Complex. Traffic movement in the area was disrupted for some time after the accident. Locals said that the accident occurred when a bus of Dhaka-bound Hanif Paribahan hit the back of a truck. Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Muhammad Shafiqul Islam said that after receiving the information, fire service personnel quickly reached the spot and carried out rescue operations.
