They said that the pressure of vehicles on the roads has been increasing since the morning. The pressure of passengers on public transport is noticeable. As a result, office-going and work-going passengers waiting at the bus stop in the capital were seen pushing and shoving their way into the public transport gates. A job-seeker named Ripon said in Karwan Bazar, “It took a long time to get into the car today. That too, I came in a hurry.” It usually takes one to one and a half hours to reach Karwan Bazar from Bishwa Road, but it took more than two hours today. Bus driver Shafiq said that it takes 35 minutes to reach Shyamoli from the technical signal. If there were no traffic jams, it would take a maximum of 10 minutes. There is a fair amount of traffic jam on the road. Meanwhile, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued a public notice by diverting several roads around the rallies of the two parties on the same day. Chhatra Dal will hold a rally at Shahbagh from 12 noon to 6 pm to mark the first anniversary of the mass uprising, mourning and victory. And the NCP will hold a rally at the Central Shaheed Minar from 3 pm to 6 pm demanding the ‘July Declaration and Charter’.
