Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, a witness in the case of crimes against humanity committed in the July and August massacres, has been presented at the International Crimes Tribunal. He was presented at the tribunal on Sunday (August 3) morning to give testimony against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Kamal. The Chief Prosecutor will first deliver an opening statement to the three-member tribunal led by Tribunal Chairman Justice Golam Mortuza Majumder. The prosecution said that it will be broadcast live on BTV. After that, the testimony will begin. Although Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun is an accused in this case, he will now be considered a prosecution witness. On July 10, the International Crimes Tribunal ordered the trial of Sheikh Hasina, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun to begin.
