He said these things at a press conference at the Law Ministry on Thursday (July 31) afternoon. Stating that people’s expectations were very high after the July uprising, he said that although many expectations could not be fulfilled, much notable work has been done. The sections of the law on crimes against humanity have been reformed and made contemporary and international standards. He also claimed that this was a breakthrough. In addition, the sections of the criminal law on arrest and remand have been amended. New policies have been formulated to make the judiciary independent and prevent corruption in the judiciary.
