The Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait celebrated the \u2018July-August Uprising Anniversary\u2019 and \u2018Remittance Warriors Day\u2019 with due dignity. On Wednesday (July 30), the July-August Graffiti and Photo Gallery were inaugurated, and a discussion meeting and prayer meeting were organized to mark the day. Bangladesh Ambassador to Kuwait Major General Syed Tarek Hossain inaugurated the event. Later, the day\u2019s program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. After showing several documentaries on the July-August Uprising, the Bangladesh Ambassador to Kuwait delivered a speech highlighting the significance of the July-August Uprising and Remittance Warriors Day. The Ambassador noted that the July-August movement was a strong and united voice for democracy, justice and fundamental rights, where millions of people peacefully took to the streets in the hope of building a transparent, accountable and pro-people state. He further noted that, carrying the spirit of July-August, the Bangladeshi expatriates living in Kuwait are constantly working hard, living honestly and sending remittances to the country, thereby strengthening the economy of Bangladesh. The Ambassador concluded his speech by paying deep respect to the martyrs and injured in the July-August uprising, their families and all the remittance fighters around the world. Embassy officials and staff, Bangladeshi expatriates living in Kuwait, members of various social and cultural organizations, and journalists from various print and electronic media were present at the event. The day’s program ended with a special prayer and supplication, wishing forgiveness for those killed in the July-August uprising, recovery of the injured, and well-being of all remittance fighters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
