Jamalpur Correspondent: Nahid Islam, convener of the Jatiya Nagorik Party, has expressed his determination to build a country where temples do not have to be guarded in the future Bangladesh. He said that the party’s promise is to build a Bangladesh without discrimination for all citizens. Where every person will get their civil rights and dignity. Everyone will be considered equal. We expect such a Bangladesh. One day, we will go beyond the minority divide and everyone will be equal. Where we will no longer have incidents like guarding temples in Bangladesh. People of all religions will be able to pray with safety. We are speaking in favor of the culture that every religion and nation has. He said these things while visiting the Dayamoyi Temple in Jamalpur city as part of the July Padyatra to build the country around 9 pm on Sunday (July 27). He said, “We know that there has been discrimination in Bangladesh in the last 54 years, we have not been able to ensure the equality, justice and human dignity that we were unable to ensure during the Liberation War.” Since the youth have embarked on a national uprising and are aspiring for a new Bangladesh, we want to create that Bangladesh. The top leader said, we are going to 64 districts of Bangladesh to commemorate the one year anniversary of the July Uprising. And by going to each district, we are listening to the people there, the different communities, religions and ethnic groups there. Finally, the young leader sought prayers and blessings from Saba for the new party, standing for truth, justice and against oppression.
