Tk 3 million will be given to each martyred family of the July Uprising in the form of savings certificates. Out of this, Tk 772 crore 20 lakh has been given to each of the 772 martyred families in the financial year 2024-25, said Advisor on Liberation War Affairs Faruk-e-Azam. He gave this information at a briefing on the steps taken for the families of July martyrs at the Secretariat on Monday (July 21) afternoon. The advisor said that July fighters of class A will receive Tk 5 million. Out of which Tk 2 million has been given. July fighters of class B will receive a one-time payment of Tk 3 million. Out of which Tk 1 million has been given. July fighters of class C will be given a one-time payment of Tk 1 million. Out of which Tk 1 million has been given. In addition, each martyred family will receive a monthly allowance of Tk 20,000, said Advisor Faruk-e-Azam. Class A July fighters will receive an allowance of 20,000 taka, class B fighters will receive 15,000 taka. Class C July fighters will receive 10,000 taka each. The Liberation War Affairs Advisor said that a reception will be given to the families of martyrs and July fighters on August 5. The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has various programs for the rehabilitation of July fighters and their families. But there is no issue of providing flats or quotas in government jobs.
