Russia has carried out another major drone attack in the Ukrainian capital Kiev. At least two people were killed and at least 13 others were injured in the attack on Wednesday (July 9) night. The BBC reported this news, citing local officials. Russia has recently intensified its attacks on Ukraine. As a continuation of this, drone attacks were carried out in Kiev overnight on Wednesday. Attempts were made to repel these drones using air defense systems. Local officials said that fires are now burning throughout the city after the attack. Kiev authorities said that the debris of the drone hit the roof of a residential building in the central Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. Video footage of the attack has been spread on social media. It shows numerous explosions in the night sky. The previous day, that is, last Tuesday (July 8) night, Ukraine said that Russia carried out its largest attack ever. That night, Russian forces launched 728 drones and 13 cruise missiles. The strikes hit several cities across Ukraine. The strikes came shortly after US President Donald Trump pledged to send more weapons to Ukraine and directly criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin. On Thursday morning (July 10), the military administration in Kiev said that drone strikes had been carried out in six districts of the capital. \u201cResidential buildings, vehicles, warehouses, offices and other non-residential buildings are on fire,\u201d the head of the military administration, Timur Tkachenko, said in a post on Telegram. \u201cUnfortunately, we have received reports of two deaths. They lost their lives in the attack by Russian forces. This is a terrible loss,\u201d he added.
