Three accused, including former Raujan MP ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, have been produced before the tribunal in the case of killing 6 people in Chittagong, including the second martyr Wasim in the July mass uprising. The case will be heard at the International Crimes Tribunal 1 on Monday (July 7). On July 16 last year, during the anti-discrimination movement, leaders and activists of the Awami League, Jubo League, Swechchhasebak League and Chhatra League attacked and fired on students and the public in the Sholashahar and Muradpur areas of Chittagong city. In this incident, Chhatra Dal activist Wasim Akram, Shibir activist Faisal Ahmed Shanto and furniture businessman Md. Faruk were shot and killed. In addition, shop employee Simon, student Tanvir Siddiqui and Chittagong University student Hridoy Chandra Torua were killed in a shootout between Chhatra League, Jubo League and Awami League leaders and activists in Bahaddarhat, Chittagong on July 18. The tribunal issued arrest warrants against 15 accused in this case on March 25.
