The International Crimes Tribunal has sentenced Sheikh Hasina, who fled to India in the face of a mass uprising by students and the public, to 6 months in jail in a contempt of court case. In addition, Shakil Akand Bulbul of Gobindaganj, Gaibandha has been sentenced to two months in jail. A three-member tribunal led by Justice Md.
