Two passengers of an easy bike, including a child, were killed when a truck carrying gas cylinders hit them in Khulna. Three others were injured. The accident occurred on Monday (June 30) morning at the Hogladanga bus stand area of \u200b\u200bthe Khulna-Satkhira highway. Eyewitnesses said that an easy bike was picking up Khulna-bound passengers at the Hogladanga intersection. At that time, a truck coming from behind hit the easy bike and twisted it. The easy bike passengers, children Sheikh Raihan and Jewel Islam, died on the spot.<\/p>\n
The truck lost control and crashed into a shop and fell into a ditch. The truck driver managed to escape after the incident. Locals blocked the Khulna-Satkhira highway in protest of the accident and staged a protest. Harintana Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Khairul Basar said that one person died on the spot and one person died in the hospital. The four injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital. The truck was seized after the accident, the driver is absconding.
