A court in Sirajganj has sentenced one to death and 4 to life imprisonment in the murder case of Jubo League leader Golam Mostafa. At the same time, each was fined.<\/p>\n
Judge Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman of Additional District and Sessions Judge Court 3 in Sirajganj delivered the verdict on Monday (June 23) afternoon.<\/p>\n
The name of the death-sentenced accused is Tarequl Islam Tareq. And the life-sentenced ones are – Selim Reza, Badal Sheikh, Nazrul Islam and Saidul Islam Khan.<\/p>\n
Additional Public Prosecutor of Additional District and Sessions Judge Court 3 Hamidul Haque Dulal said that on October 3, 2018, Ward 7 Jubo League President Golam Mostafa was hacked to death in Ranigram, Sirajganj Municipality, while he was returning home after offering Fajr prayers. The day after the incident, the deceased’s wife Shikha Thatun filed a case at Sirajganj Sadar Police Station, naming 27 people and naming 25 others as unknown accused.
