Israel has claimed to have killed Ali Sadmani, the head of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters.<\/p>\n
Al Jazeera reported on Tuesday (June 17) that Sadmani was described as Iran’s most senior military commander and the closest person to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.<\/p>\n
However, there was no immediate reaction from Iran on this matter. Khatam al-Anbiya is the construction and engineering branch of the IRGC.<\/p>\n
Sadmani was appointed to this position after Israel killed Gholam Ali Rashid, the former commander of Khatam al-Anbiya central headquarters, on Friday.<\/p>\n
Israel launched a surprise attack on Iran last Friday. Several top Iranian officials and scientists were killed in attacks on various military and nuclear facilities.<\/p>\n
