Lalmonirhat Correspondent: Locals have seized a car worth crores of taka belonging to Motahar Hossain, former State Minister of Primary and Mass Education, District Awami League President and former MP from Lalmonirhat-1 (Hatibandha-Patgram) constituency.<\/p>\n
Police seized the car from Kakina area of \u200b\u200bKaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat in the early hours of Monday (June 16). At that time, the driver of the car, Kajal Chandra Roy, and his associate Aziz were taken into custody.<\/p>\n
According to local sources, the car was taken out of a house adjacent to the Dolapara border of Barakhata union in Hatibandha upazila. The intention was to take Eid food to the former MP’s son’s house in Dhaka.<\/p>\n
When the matter came to the attention of locals, they chased the car. When the car reached Kakina petrol pump after being chased, the locals seized it.<\/p>\n
Upon receiving the information, the police quickly reached the spot and seized the vehicle. The driver and his accomplice were also arrested. Later, the two were taken into police custody.
