Newly elected Iranian President Masoud Pajhwok has spoken out on the ongoing conflict with Israel and the nuclear issue. State media IRNA and Al Jazeera reported that in his speech to the Iranian parliament, he said, “The enemies will not be able to suppress us. After the fall of each hero, hundreds of new heroes will rise who will respond to oppression and injustice.”<\/p>\n
He also said, “We do not engage in aggression. Discussions are underway with the United States on the nuclear program. However, Iran does not want to build nuclear weapons.”<\/p>\n
“Israel is surprised by Iran’s capabilities”<\/p>\n
Pajhwok stressed that Iran has the right to peacefully enrich uranium and use it to produce energy.<\/p>\n
The Iranian president said, “We are not seeking nuclear weapons. Although the West says that Iran should not have nuclear weapons. We are not interested in building nuclear weapons either.”<\/p>\n
