BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir believes that there is a risk of raising questions about the intentions of the interim government if the electoral roadmap is announced late. He made the comments in a post on his verified Facebook wall at 6 am on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The BNP Secretary General said, “I sincerely hope that the interim government has the wisdom and ability to take the right decision, starting with the urgent announcement of the electoral roadmap. The longer it is delayed, the greater the risk that the nation will start raising questions about the intentions of the interim government.” Mirza Fakhrul is currently in Thailand for eye treatment.<\/p>\n

“Due to medical treatment after eye surgery, I will not be able to fly for a few more days.” Nevertheless, I am closely monitoring political developments in Bangladesh and doing everything possible to ensure a positive outcome.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018I was delighted to see yesterday\u2019s meeting take place and look forward to clear progress on democratic transition, justice for those unjustly affected over the past 15 years (including July 2024), and much-needed reforms.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018We must remember: democratic transition, justice, and reforms are not mutually exclusive. They can happen together \u2013 and must happen together. This is the best path for our nation. I sincerely hope that the interim government has the wisdom and capacity to make the right decisions, starting with the urgent announcement of an electoral roadmap.\u2019<\/p>\n
