Although Bangladesh’s border guards have the ability to compete with any force in the world, Awami League and Sheikh Hasina held them hostage in the past, said Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the northern region of the Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP).<\/p>\n
He made this comment at the fourth day of mass communication and road meeting in the northern region at Patgram, Lalmonirhat on Thursday (May 29) afternoon.<\/p>\n
Sarjis Alam said, “The BGB has not been able to show its strength against India so far because of Hasina. The push-in incident at the border should be considered as an Indian conspiracy against Bangladesh.”<\/p>\n
He also said, “Bangladesh’s relations with India are still not satisfactory. The person (Sheikh Hasina) who ordered the killing of more than a thousand people in Bangladesh, has been sheltered by India. Therefore, we must treat our neighboring countries like neighbors.” As long as Sheikh Hasina takes refuge in India, India-Bangladesh relations will not be normal.<\/p>\n
Calling on the BGB and the general public to play a role in stopping push-ins at the border, Sarjis said, “India is conspiring to push its citizens or agents into Bangladesh. For this reason, not only the BGB, but every citizen of this region must be vigilant.”<\/p>\n
Calling for unity to protect the country’s sovereignty, he said, “Whenever you see any conspiracy against the country, immediately prevent it.”<\/p>\n
Regarding electricity load shedding, Sarjis Alam said, “The Awami League has looted thousands of crores of taka in the name of power projects. Even though the pockets of India’s Adanis are heavy, the people of the country are not getting electricity. The common people have to live without electricity for 7-8 hours a day.”<\/p>\n
He also said, “In the future, the politics of selling votes in exchange for money must be stopped for development. Prevent those who come to ask for votes with money. “Elect public representatives by voting for qualified candidates.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
