Due to the low pressure created in the Bay of Bengal, it is raining intermittently in different parts of the country. Due to this, the water level of various rivers is increasing. As a result, the Water Development Board (PAUBO) has informed about the threat of flood in six districts of the country including Feni.<\/p>\n
The Flood Forecasting and Warning Center of the Water Development Board gave this information in a press release on Thursday (May 29).<\/p>\n
The release said that the water level of the Gomti, Muhuri and Feni rivers in Chittagong division may increase in the next two days. At this time, the water level of the Muhuri river is likely to cross the danger level. There is a risk of flood situation in the low-lying areas adjacent to the Muhuri river in Feni district. The water level of the river may decrease in the next day.<\/p>\n
In addition, the water level of the Sarigowain, Jadukata, Manu, Dhalai, Khowai and Someshwari rivers in Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions may increase in the next three days and cross the danger level. During this time, there is a risk of flood situation in the low-lying areas of Sylhet, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, Habiganj and Netrokona districts.<\/p>\n
The water level of Teesta, Dharla and Dudhkumar rivers in Rangpur division is likely to increase in the next three days. Teesta river may flow within the warning limit. Higher than normal tides may be observed in coastal rivers of Barisal, Khulna and Chittagong divisions for the next two days.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the water level of Surma and Kushiyara rivers is decreasing in the plains, which may increase for the next three days. However, it may flow below the danger limit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
