Top billionaire Elon Musk has announced his departure from the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). He announced this in a message on the social media X on Wednesday (May 28). The British media outlet BBC reported this information in a report.<\/p>\n
The process of leaving the post will begin today. The decision was made by the head of Tesla and SpaceX as his term of appointment as a special officer in the department expired.<\/p>\n
Tech billionaire Elon Musk joined the Trump administration for 130 days in January. He promised to cut $1 trillion from the US federal budget for the Department of Government Efficiency. However, according to information obtained from the department’s website, this close Trump aide has been able to save $175 billion.<\/p>\n
Thanking Trump for giving him the responsibility of the government department in the X post, Musk said, “I believe that the cost-cutting agency will become a part of the government everywhere.”<\/p>\n
