Development activities should not be accounted for only on paper. We need to think in terms of reality, said Financial Advisor Dr. Saleh Uddin Ahmed. He made these comments at a seminar titled Evaluation, Accountability and Ethics of Development Projects organized at the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital this morning.<\/p>\n
Calling for taking up projects that benefit the common people, he said that this will accelerate socio-economic development. He urged to give much more importance to ethics and transparency in the continuity of development.<\/p>\n
The Financial Advisor said that the common people should also be informed about the projects. There are many institutions that get work despite being incompetent. This does not yield the expected results. The Financial Advisor suggested bringing the activities of these institutions under supervision.<\/p>\n
He also said that earlier, a lot of information was given by various institutions which was wrong and misleading. A lot of money was spent on many unnecessary projects from which the expected results were not obtained.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
