The price of gold has been increased once again in the country’s market. The price of the best quality or 22-carat gold has been increased by 2 thousand 823 taka and the new price has been set at 1 lakh 69 thousand 921 taka.<\/p>\n
In a press release on Wednesday (May 21) night, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced the increase in the price of gold. This new price will be effective from Thursday (May 22).<\/p>\n
The BAJUS release said that the new price adjustment has been made in view of the increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.<\/p>\n
It also said that now the price of the best quality or 22-carat gold has been set at 1 lakh 69 thousand 921 taka. The price of a 21-carat gold has been increased by 2 thousand 695 taka to 1 lakh 62 thousand 200 taka. In addition, the price of a 18-carat gold has been increased by 2 thousand 309 taka to 1 lakh 39 thousand 23 taka. The price of gold per bhori according to the traditional method has been increased by 1,971 taka to 1,14,949 taka.<\/p>\n
Earlier, on April 23, the price of gold in the country had increased by a maximum of 5,342 taka per bhori. At that time, the price of good quality gold, i.e. 22 carats, had increased by 1,77,888 taka. That was the highest price of gold in the country’s market. And the last time the price of gold increased in the country’s market on May 18.
