The UK has suspended trade talks with Israel due to the military operation in Gaza. The British government has also summoned the country’s ambassador. This information was revealed in a statement by the British media outlet BBC.<\/p>\n
According to the report, the country’s Foreign Secretary David Lammy told the House of Commons that they have suspended negotiations on a new free trade agreement with Israel. He said, “We will review the issue of cooperation under the 2030 bilateral relations roadmap. The actions of the Netanyahu government have made this decision necessary.”<\/p>\n
He also said that the Israeli ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Office and told that Israel’s blockade of Gaza is “unsustainable”.<\/p>\n
According to him, the conflict there has entered a “new phase of darkness”. He said that fewer than 10 aid trucks were allowed to enter Gaza yesterday, which was \u201cabhorrent\u201d.<\/p>\n
