Bangladeshi Ikramul Haque Shakil has set a world record for the fastest time to conquer Mount Everest from sea level by covering the longest distance by hiking. He became the seventh Bangladeshi to conquer Everest.<\/p>\n
In this expedition titled ‘Sea to Summit’, he climbed the peak by walking 1,300 kilometers from the sea in the fastest time.<\/p>\n
It is known that Shakil’s trek started from Inani beach in Cox’s Bazar on February 25. He started the expedition with the aim of conquering ‘Sea to Summit’ within 90 days. Shakil climbed the 29,031-foot-high peak of Everest by trekking about 1,300 kilometers long and inaccessible through Bangladesh, India and Nepal.<\/p>\n
Before this young dreamer from Bangladesh, in 1990, Australian mountaineer Tim McCartney-Snap set foot on the world’s highest peak, covering about 1,200 kilometers from Gangesara in India in 96 days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
