Police have arrested Shahida Akhter Jasuda, the organizing secretary of Gazipur District Women’s Awami League and a reserved female member of Bhawalgarh Union. She was arrested in a drive in Gazipur Uttar Chhaya Bithi area around 2 am on Tuesday (May 13).<\/p>\n
The arrested Shahida Akhter Jasuda is the daughter of Shanti Charan of Bhabanipur village in Gazipur Sadar Upazila.<\/p>\n
Joydebpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Halim confirmed the matter.<\/p>\n
He said that she was arrested in a case filed in this police station area in the case of a child being crippled during the anti-discrimination student movement. She is an accused in the case.<\/p>\n
Shahida Akhter’s name has also been behind several labor movements in the industrial area of \u200b\u200bGazipur recently.<\/p>\n
Joydebpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Halim confirmed the matter.<\/p>\n
He said, “Shahida Akhtar tried to create an unstable environment in the country by using workers. She also provided funds to several movements.
