Chittagong Port is the heart of the country’s economy, and it is not possible to open a new path for the economy without this port, said Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. He made this comment after visiting Chittagong Port on Wednesday (May 14) morning.<\/p>\n
The Chief Advisor said that if Bangladesh’s economy is to change, Chittagong Port is the only hope. If this port is launched, foreigners will invest in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n
He also said that this port is not only important for Bangladesh, but also for neighboring countries. A multimedia documentary was shown at the event. After that, Shipping Advisor Brigadier Shakhawat Hossain spoke. Later, the Chief Advisor visited the port area.<\/p>\n
After that, the Chief Advisor will go to Chittagong Circuit House. There, he will unveil the foundation stone of Kalurghat Bridge over the Karnaphuli River.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, he will attend the 5th convocation of Chittagong University in the afternoon. Dr. Yunus will be given the title of D.Litt. And in the afternoon, after a long 8 years, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus will go to his village home in Bathua, Hathazari.<\/p>\n
