Dr. Muhammad Yunus visited his district Chittagong for the first time after becoming the chief advisor of the interim government. He arrived at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on Wednesday (May 14) morning.<\/p>\n
He has already joined a meeting of views at the NCT-5 premises inside the Chittagong Port. There, he is exchanging views with senior officials of the port and shipping sector, representatives of various port user organizations and leaders of trade associations.<\/p>\n
Senior officials of the Chittagong Port said that a multimedia presentation will be made on the existing port activities, future prospects, ongoing and proposed key facilities including the Matarbari deep sea port.<\/p>\n
After that, the chief advisor will go to the Chittagong Circuit House. There, he will unveil the foundation stone of the Kalurghat Bridge over the Karnaphuli River.<\/p>\n
He will attend the 5th convocation of the University of Chittagong in the afternoon. Dr. Yunus will be conferred with the title of D. Litt. at this event.<\/p>\n
