A ship from Pakistan carrying Atap rice has arrived at the Chittagong port. At the same time, another ship carrying parboiled rice from India has arrived at the port. A total of 37,250 tons of rice have been brought in by the two ships.<\/p>\n
The ships arrived in the two countries this Wednesday morning, said Imdad Islam, Public Relations Officer of the Food Ministry.<\/p>\n
Imdad Islam said that MV SIBI carrying 26,250 metric tons of Atap rice to be imported by Pakistan on a G2G basis and MV HT Unite carrying 11,000 metric tons of parboiled rice to be imported from India under the international open tender (Package-05) has arrived at the Chittagong port.<\/p>\n
After the sample testing of the rice brought in by the two ships, the unloading process will start today. Necessary measures have been taken for this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
