BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Zainul Abdin Faruk said, “This government is a government that will hold an election. Hasina has destroyed all the institutions of the country after being in power for 16 years. This government will definitely hold an election after making some reforms. This was the talk with all political parties including the BNP.”<\/p>\n
He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at an Iftar Mahfil pre-meeting organized by the Kabilpur Union BNP in Senbagh, Noakhali on Monday.<\/p>\n
Welcoming the newly formed Jatiya Nagorik Party, the former opposition chief whip said, “Our leader (Ziaur Rahman) was the father of multi-party democracy. We welcome the new party on behalf of the students. You will continue to fight for democracy, fight for constitutional rights and continue to struggle for the rights of the people.”<\/p>\n
Addressing those demanding local elections, Zainul Abdin Faruk said, “A party is now demanding local elections, but the people of Bangladesh will not allow it. We want parliamentary elections first. We want MP elections, not chairman and member elections.\u2019<\/p>\n
Promising to bring Sheikh Hasina from abroad and bring her to justice, he said, \u2018Hasina will be brought to justice after coming to power.\u2019<\/p>\n
