Hamas has handed over the bodies of four Israeli hostages. Israeli authorities confirmed the handover, saying it took place early Thursday morning local time. The Palestinians handed over the bodies of the four hostages shortly after Israel released 600 Palestinian prisoners.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said they had received the coffins containing the bodies of the four hostages. The process of officially identifying their bodies has begun.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, AFP journalists in Ramallah reported that a group of more than 600 Palestinian prisoners were seen getting off a bus. It is believed that the prisoners were supposed to be released last week. But Israel had postponed their release due to “disrespectful treatment” of the hostages.<\/p>\n
More than 600 Palestinian prisoners were brought to Ramallah by bus early Thursday morning local time. After their release, Palestinians were seen celebrating uncontrollably. They hugged their relatives. Many of them were hugging and kissing friends or relatives. Some were also giving interviews to various media outlets.
