The Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has postponed its public sit-in program in front of the office of the Chief Advisor to demand the unconditional release of Assistant Secretary General ATM Azharul Islam.<\/p>\n
In a statement sent to the media on Monday evening, Jamaat Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar said, “Considering the overall situation in the country, the public sit-in program announced by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on February 25 in front of the office of the Chief Advisor has been postponed for the time being.”<\/p>\n
He also said, “In view of the request of senior leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has also agreed to postpone his voluntary arrest program for the time being.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
