Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan was elected from Magura-1 constituency in the 12th National Parliament election on the nomination of the Awami League. Entering politics is a dead end for him. He has been under pressure since the fall of the Awami League government in the student-public uprising on August 5. A murder case has also been filed against him.
