Principal Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has invited Elon Musk, the top US businessman and CEO of SpaceX, to visit Bangladesh and proposed the launch of Starlink satellite services in the country. The Principal Advisor extended the invitation in a letter sent to Musk on February 19.<\/p>\n
In the letter, Dr. Yunus mentioned that Elon Musk\u2019s visit to Bangladesh will provide an opportunity to meet the youth of the country, who will be one of the main beneficiaries of this pioneering technology.<\/p>\n
In the letter, the Principal Advisor said, \u201cLet us work together to build a better future.\u201d The letter further said, \u201cIf Starlink is connected to Bangladesh\u2019s infrastructure, it will bring revolutionary changes, especially for the country\u2019s energetic youth, rural and disadvantaged women, and remote and backward communities.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Principal Advisor, through his high-level representative Dr. Khalilur Rahman has been instructed to coordinate closely with the SpaceX team and complete the necessary activities so that the groundwork for the launch of Starlink in Bangladesh can be prepared within the next 90 working days.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that Professor Yunus had a long phone conversation with Elon Musk on February 13.
