A husband and wife were killed when a pickup van hit them while crossing the road in Jatrabari in the capital. Their daughter was injured.<\/p>\n
The accident occurred at around 7 am on Monday, opposite the Matuail Saddam Market in Jatrabari.<\/p>\n
The deceased were Abdul Jabbar and his wife Runa Akhter. Their daughter Jui Akhter (14) is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital with serious injuries.<\/p>\n
It is learnt that the deceased lived in Demra Konapara area of \u200b\u200bthe capital. Their village is in Islampur upazila of Jamalpur.<\/p>\n
Jatrabari Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Mahmudul Hasan Irfan told the media, “This morning, a speeding pickup van hit them while crossing the road. Runa Akhter died on the spot. Her husband, Abdul Jabbar, later died at a local hospital.<\/p>\n
