The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement will hold a protest rally at Rajbari ground in Gazipur Sadar Upazila. The rally will be held at around 1:30 pm today, Saturday. It is learnt that students from all over the country and central leaders will be present.<\/p>\n
The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement announced this program in a post on its Facebook page around 4 am on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The post said, ‘A huge protest rally will be held today, Saturday, to protest the attack by the Awami terrorists Mozammel-Jahangir’s Chapati Bahini on the organizers of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Gazipur. Students from all over the country and central leaders will be present at the rally.’<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that a group of angry people attacked the house of former Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque in Gazipur at 10 pm yesterday, Friday. At that time, some local people detained some of them and beat them up. At least 15 people were injured. Doctors said that the condition of three of the injured people is critical.<\/p>\n
Locals and police said that a group of angry students attacked Mozammel Haque’s house in Dhikshankhan of Dhirashram in Gazipur city. They entered the house and vandalized it. At that time, the mosque’s microphone announced that the minister’s house had been robbed and called on people to come forward. Hearing the miking, the people around surrounded the house. They beat up some of the vandals.<\/p>\n
Later, army members went to the scene, rescued the injured and sent them to the emergency department of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital in Gazipur. From there, some of the seriously injured were sent to Dhaka.<\/p>\n
