11-party alliance submits memorandum to Prime Minister over gas and electricity crisis and price hike in Rangpur
The 11-party alliance has submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the Rangpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) in protest against the gas crisis, severe load shedding, electricity price hike, excessive bill collection and price hike of essential commodities. Today, Thursday (August 6), leaders and workers of the 11-party alliance took out a protest procession from the city’s public library ground and surrounded the DC office. During this time, they raised various slogans against the government over gas and electricity.
Rangpur Metropolitan Ameer ATM Azam Khan of the 11-party alliance, Secretary KM Anwarul Haque Kajal, Workers Welfare Federation Metropolitan President Advocate Kausar Ali, NCP District Convener Al Mamun, Metropolitan Member Secretary Abdul Malek, AB Party Metropolitan General Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Mahbub, Labor Party leader Shamsuddin Raja, etc. spoke there.
Then they said, due to the government’s irresponsibility, there is no gas, no water. Terrible load shedding. Electricity prices have been increased. High bills are being collected. The prices of daily necessities are skyrocketing. People are suffocating. They demand immediate solutions to these problems and relief for the people. Otherwise, the people of the country will think about whether to keep you in power or not.
Later, a delegation of 11 parties led by Metropolitan Jamaat Ameer ATM Azam Khan went to the DC office. There they handed over a memorandum to DC Mohammad Ruhul Amin. In this regard, DC Mohammad Ruhul Amin said that the unity memorandum of 11 parties has been accepted and sent to the Prime Minister’s Office.
