India has disrespected the July martyrs by giving death row convict Sheikh Hasina a chance to speak. This was stated by the Prime Minister’s Political Advisor and Senior Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
He told reporters this after paying homage at the tombs of former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Thursday (August 6) morning. Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that despite the existence of the law, giving a fugitive convict a chance to do politics without returning him is an insult to national sovereignty.
He also said that giving Sheikh Hasina a chance to do politics intentionally is an attack on the bilateral relations of the two countries. Rizvi also believes that Delhi has the resources to give Sheikh Hasina a chance to speak on the day she fled. BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working to address all types of crises, including gas, measles and dengue.
