‘Misinformation’ being spread about additional electricity bills: Power Department
The Power Department has alleged that propaganda is being spread about additional electricity bills. At the same time, the agency has requested all those concerned to behave responsibly in this regard.
In a notification on Monday (August 3), the Power Department said that recently some individuals or groups have been spreading misleading propaganda about additional electricity bills. The complaints received regarding additional electricity bills have already been resolved by the Power Department and the concerned distribution companies. Therefore, there is no scope for spreading misinformation or confusion in this regard.
The notification also said that if any customer has any complaint regarding additional electricity bills, if he applies to the concerned authorities with evidence, the matter will be seriously investigated and necessary action will be taken. The agency has requested all those concerned to behave responsibly in this regard.
