NCP convoy attacked in Sylhet
A convoy of Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) leaders was attacked in Golapganj in Sylhet. Bottles and bricks were hurled at the convoy of party leaders on the road in front of the municipality gate in Chaumuhani of the upazila today, Thursday (July 30). This incident occurred on the second day of the attack on the July March in Habiganj.
Earlier, the NCP held a meeting with the families of those killed in the July movement at the Golapganj Upazila Auditorium today as part of the ‘July March’ program. After leaving the meeting, the convoy of NCP leaders was suddenly attacked.
In this attack, the rear window of the vehicle carrying NCP’s northern chief organizer Sarjis Alam was broken. Eyewitnesses also said that slogans of ‘Bhuya Bhuya’ were raised during this time. NCP leaders have filed complaints against BNP leaders and workers in this incident. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured in the attack.
