Iran’s Bushehr Airport Inoperative After US Strike

Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mahjerani said that the Bushehr airport in southwestern Iran has been rendered completely inoperative and unusable after a recent US military strike. This information was reported in a report by Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera on Tuesday (July 28). She said that in order to reopen the airport, it would have to be completely rebuilt from scratch.
She also said that we saw the wreckage of a recently refurbished plane purchased for public service, which was destroyed by a direct missile strike. Only a small part of the plane remains. Fatemeh Mahjerani added that the Bushehr weather station located on the airport premises was also almost completely destroyed in the US strike, which was used entirely for civilian purposes.
