Cannabis cultivation in tub, 1 person arrested
RAB-7 has arrested a young man named Lokman Hossain (44) on charges of cultivating cannabis in a tin tub in a house in the Bayezid Bostami police station area of Chittagong city. At that time, 12 cannabis plants were recovered from him. The arrested Lokman Hossain is the son of the deceased Hossain Mia of Hyderabad area of Bancharampur police station in Brahmanbaria district.
Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-7 and Assistant Superintendent of Police A. R. M. Mozaffar Hossain said that Lokman Hossain was secretly cultivating cannabis plants in a plastic tub in the tin tub of his house in the West Shahjinagar area of Ward No. 7 of Bayezid Bostami police station.
Based on secret information, a drive was conducted around 11 pm on Monday and Lokman Hossain was arrested. Later, two plastic tubs kept in the tin tub of his house were searched and a total of 12 cannabis plants, six in each, were recovered and seized. He has been handed over to Bayezid Bostami Police Station for further legal action.
