All 16 leaders have resigned from the new 31-member committee of the Kushakali Union Jubo Dal in Chandraganj Upazila of Lakshmipur. They have resigned, alleging that they did not get the expected posts, did not give priority to seniority and were involved in money transactions.
In addition, the resignees claim that both the convener and member secretary of the new committee came from abroad to form the committee. On Monday (July 27) evening, Jubo Dal leaders Jahangir Alam and Harunur Rashid confirmed the resignation of the 16 people.
Party sources said that the formation of the Kushakali Union Jubo Dal committee was announced on Facebook on Sunday (July 26) night. A conference was also held earlier. The day after the formation of the committee, 16 people, including 6 joint conveners, resigned.
The resigning Harunur Rashid said that the committee was given in exchange for money. Those who sacrificed themselves on the streets in difficult times were not evaluated. Juniors have been made joint conveners and seniors have been made members. There is inferiority between senior and junior leaders and activists.
The resigned Jahangir Alam said that the road killers were not evaluated in the new committee. Both the convener and member secretary of this committee are expatriates. They got this responsibility in exchange for money. However, he could not say how much money was exchanged.
In this context, Chandraganj Upazila Jubo Dal member secretary Abdul Mukit Sohel said that there is inferiority between senior and junior leaders and activists. If we sit and discuss with them, this inferiority will be removed. And the allegation of taking money is not true.
