Syria strongly condemns drone attacks on Saudi Arabia

Syria strongly condemned the failed drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s energy and oil infrastructure. The country’s Foreign Ministry made the protest in a statement on social media on Tuesday (July 28).
The statement said that several Iraqi-based and Iranian-backed armed groups carried out the attack. Damascus described the attack as a gross violation of the security and stability of Saudi Arabia and a serious threat to regional security in the entire Middle East.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry statement also said that Syria fully supports and unites with any steps taken by Riyadh to protect the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia. At the same time, the Syrian government reiterated its call to respect the sovereignty of any state in the world in accordance with international principles.
